NIHAO MOSCOW-BEIJING

The restaurant "NIHAO Moscow-Beijing" is a unique place with authentic Chinese cuisine. All traditional Chinese dishes are prepared with minimal adaptation, but in an elegant design. Such presentations could be found in noble houses and on the imperial table. We offer delicious European dishes in the banquet menu. All the ingredients, including sauces and spices, are brought for us from China.

The restaurant space is filled with the spirit of the history and traditions of the Great Chinese Civilization. Handmade interior items were created by craftsmen in the Middle Kingdom especially for the restaurant. Comfortable chairs with carved armrests and paintings are a replica of the furniture of noble houses of the Qing Dynasty. The figures of horses in the style of glazed ceramics of the Tang period are a traditional decoration of the space, brought from the city of Xi'an, the ancient capital of China. The canonical interior items are floor screens using natural mother-of-pearl, hand-embroidered tablecloths, bright porcelain on the tables, traditional paintings on the walls. Modern Western notes are given to the interior by luxury items created by European masters: upholstered furniture, chandeliers, paintings.

The restaurant is located on the Aptekarskaya Embankment, in the center of the cultural and social life of St. Petersburg. The zoning of the space takes into account the wishes for holding events of various formats, including large celebrations and VIP business meetings. In addition to the main hall for 69 seats, the restaurant includes a VIP hall for  8 seat.

CUISINE

The restaurant’s menu features classic dishes from the Chinese and European traditions, further enhanced by the chef’s presentation and unexpected flavour interpretations.

Chinese gastronomy comes courtesy of Gao Chaoyang, who is also the brand-chef of the "Nihao" chain of restaurants. Great importance in preparing Chinese dishes is given to the observance of centuries-old culinary canons. The menu features dishes of Shandong, Guangdong and Beijing cuisine, made according to the original recipe with minimal adaptation. In every direction, cooks from their respective province are invited in, and all the ingredients for the dishes, including sauces and condiments, are delivered to the restaurant from China.

The European aspect is represented mainly by dishes of Russian and French cuisine. Here, responsibility lies with chef Zholt Plasinger, who has experience of working in restaurants in 5-star hotels in Europe, Dubai, Moscow and St Petersburg. The chef’s interpretation and elements of molecular cuisine impart their unique tone to classical European dishes.
